[UPDATED: 19 AUGUST 2021]
Here are the guidelines for my ratings. I rate books from 1 STAR to 5 STARS. You can expect an in-depth reasoning behind my ratings in my reviews.
1 STAR
It wasn’t my taste. The plot or the idea wasn’t objective.
2 STARS
It was okay. Perhaps half the time I only have vague ideas of what was happening. It could also be because as much as I understood the plot of the story, the writing style wasn’t my cup of tea or the execution of the story wasn’t well done.
3 STARS
The book was decent. Nothing stood out, it wasn’t memorable.
4 STARS
It was good. Overall good writing. Keeps the readers interested. Just could be improved in a few areas.
5 STARS
Amazing book. Will perhaps purchase a copy of it to keep (if it is an E-Book). Executed the story really well. Clear description of what was going on. Would probably recommend.
Aside from these ratings, I will try my best not to DNF a book. If I do DNF it within the first few pages, I will not give it a review. However, if I read it until the 70-75% mark of the book, I will most likely write a review, but of course, I will mention that I did not finish it.
This will solely depend on the book, and the above statement is only a guide.
